Geoff Woods was born and bred on the beaches of Newcastle Australia,
where he still lives today. Growing up on the coast, Geoff soon became an A Grade surfer, and gained
the trade of a carpenter. At the age of 21 Geoff was introduced to the camera and he immediately fell
in love with it. He has devoted his life to this passion of photography ever since, continually channeling his
carpentry earnings back into his art.
Geoff chooses to use the large format for his artform, due to the skill level and time required to
take a shot, and for the amazing detail that is reproduced in a large print. Geoff's passion
has seen him travel all around the globe to capture images. He,s been to Tasmania upteen times, to
Canada and even the Antarctic. His skill has seen him published in many magazines, diaries, journals and calendars
all around the world.
